Death Dreams Poem by Paul Fisher

Death Dreams

In the shadows love dolls dance
to the lovely tune of a knives edge.
Drip drip dripping, the sky's the limit.
Drop dropp dropping, off a crumbling edge

Life is near and far away
making jokes, making fun.
But the reaper always wins
when everything is said and done.

Death rests tonight, though
it dreams of you my dear.
Death whispers to deaf ears
and lays his cold hands near.

Awake awake, awaken.
A cold sweat drowns
innocence in its tracks.
Showing off a blackened crown.

I dance with death tonight
While you cry me an ocean
made with sunlight gleaming
off the knife. A lovers sin.

I say goodbye with a kiss.
You are part of deaths show,
Dancing with lovedolls
in a virgin field of shadows.
