Death By Cupid's Arrow Poem by Brijaal Dana

Death By Cupid's Arrow

Rating: 5.0

As love goes, one's entire world can be can be controlled and manipulated by such.
If consumed by this natural emotion, one may find a world that is not worth much.

The self-destruction that can occur due to one's heart and world being crushed,
Could make the expiration of one's life and existence want to be rushed.

Imagine putting self in harm's way just to see the ultimate end,
Only then, to learn that your lover was not even a friend.

Without that Love and having of a broken heart that will never mend,
Messages of forgiveness and understanding are all that he will lend.

Succession was a failure, upon the very first attempt,
Allowing one to feel even more inept.

Both, dreams of love and nightmares of death, came to him as he slept,
As care had dissipated from his only love, feelings of suicide were all that had crept.

A second attempt seems a necessity to reach this final goal,
For having lost his Love, was living in a very dark hole.

The Longing for the mind, body and soul and lips he had Never kissed,
Created an absence he couldn't bare, because he knew he would not be missed.
