Death! Poem by Randy McClave

Death!

Death is not kind
When you leave a family behind,
Grieving children and a grieving wife
When from someones negligence it took a life.
Through the truth I have sought
When I had thought,
Why was a life taken
Was it because truth and safety was forsaken.

Death be so cruel
When it's created by the hand of a fool,
When you do what you are told
With honor and pride you stand bold.
You wear your protecting vest
Your worries and fears are now at rest,
Then thoughts and safety others did forsake
A loss of life that error did take.

Death is the end
Goodbye to family and friend,
When from stupidity and ignorance it occurred
The truth must be answered and heard
I shed a tear for his friends and family and all
When he did fall,
God knows of the crime and the sin
It must not ever happen again.
