Your grace,
vibrancy your hues
the fragrance of your
honey drips
inviting lure your petal lips!
I love you dearly,
Do you hear Red Rose?
How could I dislike you,
leave forlorn?
for those thorns
under your leaves alone!
When colours beautify an individual's personality, the aura and mystic of the perfumed mind plays havoc on the romantic physiology that raves and rants for approval and attention. Perhaps a tandem struck and a response withheld but all the same the feeling leaves one more beautiful to the eyes, mind and heart of the other. Your acceptance of all that one is made up of spells your generosity. As an onlooker, I envy your stance. mandara

You play with the words leaves that leaves the reader quizzical and puzzled for to unwittingly leave forlorn one who seemingly captures the mind and heart is the greatest sad tale of the human heart. Well written - arya

Red roses are queen of flowers and queen of our hearts tooo! ..Enchante..Winnie
When I read your poem I take it as you are a bit sarcastic? But no other comments refer to that, so I guess I may misunderstand you. You are so aware of this 'beauty dilemma': You can´t get a rose if you don´t accept the thorns. But - if the rose would leave you, you wouldn´t miss the thorns. A very romantic AND realistic poem - at the same time! Amazing paradox!
Inspirational, intense and excellent verses very well penned.
