Dark Poem by Kesav Venkat Easwaran

Dark

Rating: 5.0

I wear eyeglasses dark

I am able to see
What I want to see
The way I want

I wear eyeglasses dark

I want not to be seen
The way I want to see
I am able to shut my eyes
To the darkest truths
While keeping my eyes open

I wear eyeglasses dark
To remain the way I want
To remain blind towards
The dark transparent truths around

A poem of great depth. Thought provoking and cleverly written. Sometimes we only want to see what we want to see. We are reduced to being ourselves, away from the the probing eyes of other people. Wonderfully written .

Yes, Light may or not show the truth, but darkness often does.
