Daybreak Poem by Gerry Legister

Daybreak

The day is breaking.
Between the sea and the sky
Sunlight slowly warms the morning.
Making the clouds stretch high

We awake aching.
Watching nature go by
Stretch limbs trembling and shaking.
Today many will cry

They live in a place.
Where others will die
Nature takes its course
Humanity not knowing why
We are only the ghost
Each day brings a new curse

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

A poignant writing. " Each day brings a new curse"… profound, albeit ominous..
