Darkness Surrounds Me Poem by Rhonda Lewis

The darkness surrounds me constantly,
My son is my sunshine and he's not with thee.
Love was lost when my husband left,
I lost my heart to it felt.

I let my son be with him because it was best he stay,
Because I had no way to support him, no place to lay.
I did what was best for him,
Now my sunshine is gone which is him.

I need to get it back now,
I just dont know how
I know the day will come,
With gods help, united again we will become.

As long as my son is safe and happy
I will deal with the darkness and pain,
Because he's whats important above everything
So please God keep watch over my son.
Dont let him suffer as I have done.

All this darkness and pain I have wrought,
Keep jacob safe, dont let it be for naught
