Darkness Reigns Poem by Madhuparna Chakraborty

Darkness Reigns

Rating: 5.0

Nocturnal songbird
reigning like the queen of darkness
hiding the gnawing torments of her youth into the Stygian black
repulsed by the light at dawn
flying hither and thither fraught with distress
calling out to the familiar Hades
seeking redemption in the sweetness of the night
