Darkness Poem by The Night Wanderer

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Darkness is like a disease
Once you catch it you find there is no cure
You can feel your world sliding away
As you die slowly and silently
Your fingers slipping
Their grip weakening
Slowly the Devil will push you under
To watch you drown in darkness
Your love, life and joy have all burnt out
Like candles with no wick left
No memory of happiness
Or life
Can pierce the hell you're sinking into
Nothing is left
But the pain and despair that invaids your mind
Crushing you
Until there is nothing left,
Just darkness

this is as dark as it gets...but sometimes we have to experience total darkness before we learn to reach out for the light.....
