Darkness Poem by Joe Corbett

Darkness

Rating: 5.0

Darkness brings, bloodless pain
inner demons, shrouded shame,
scale the walls inside my head,
Pile the bodies of the dead.

Countless years of chop and grind,
All this pain controls my mind,
Rotten bodies, rotten smell,
Twisted reaper rings the bell

The shredded meat, on the floor
the stench of sickness, is the norm,
there is no hope or tomorrow,
just twisted flesh, bone and marrow.

the nuse has tightened all the way
sent me to this tomb, where I shall stay
tourchered days, without light,
no escape from HELL this night.

now I feel this sharpened arrow
hope for escape slowly narrows
sowing madness, reaping guilt,
from this hallowed ground where blood was spilt,

I cry alone in this place,
darkness cooking, holes in space,
nothing is, like sick and sorrow
living though, deaths tomorrow.

dreams of sorrow twist my Brain
nothing is, only pain
guilt and madness lead the way
nothing left but hell this day.

Tried to escape on my own
now left with nothing all alone
Can`t find the answer, in a daze
nothing is but hell to raise,

Now the darkness surrounds me
without light, there is no free
void of freedom, in endless space
all this darkness, that I face

Now I have, embraced this sorrow
living though there`s no tomorrow.
I found no answer, in this maze
nothing is but hell to raise.
