Rape And Pillage Poem by Joe Corbett

Rape And Pillage

We traveled long
our mission tough
our vision clear
the road was rough
slept by day
Stalked the night
the debt to pay
To regain our rights.

We burned their homes
killed their flocks
we opened up
Pandora’s box
made them bleed
with our knives
made them plead
for their lives

At last we came
to the sea
Built a ship
so we could leave
we left behind
a sordid path
plagued mankind
a god like wrath

we sailed the ocean
on waves of foam
tossed and turned
we longed for home
from this quest
of rape and pillage
We won't rest
till we conquer ever village.

now at last
from hence we came
a band of men
without shame
We left our mark
upon the land
Left it dark
as we had planned.

The trail leads back
straight to hell
the tails of this
we never tell
Of raining blood
And severed limbs
A trail of death and
War and sin.
