Dark Side
Will you let others see
The sheen of your scars?
Or will you hide them
Under a concealing smile
And never let their tale
Of perseverance be told?
Will your dark side grow
Under the harsh blackness of despair?
Or will you allow the light
To pierce the veil
To cast away your deepest, bleakest thoughts?
Who will win within your heart:
The brightest white,
Or the darkest dark?
