Dark Nights Poem by Alison Gaff

Dark Nights

Now the nights are drawing in
The light is fading fast
The temperature is falling
Hope this icy blast won't last

The river is foreboding
All so grey and dark
But then it looks like jewels
As lights are reflected from the park

There's lots of scary shadows
Here in the twilight zone
So I quicken up my pace
And rush to get safely home
