Dark Corner Poem by Priscilla Dornan

Dark Corner

Rating: 4.5

In the dark corner
There is a little girl crying
Nobody listens
No one wants to hear
They close their eyes to her pain
Shut down their ears to her fears
Forever floating on a wave of dreams
She never dares to dream
For the fear of nightmares lashing
And the taste of unheard screams
The only hope is one day
Someone will search and find
The key to the door she is locked behind
In the dark corner of my mind
