I’m in the corner
In the dark
You cant see me
Falling apart
You cant hear my lonely cries
You cant wipe tears from my eyes
You cant try to comprehend
The problem that i have at hand
You cant read my darkened eyes
Or my heart
All filled with lies
You cant cure the marks on my wrists
Or sneak a peek
At my wish list
You cant see how many times I’ve died
Or even guess
How many tears have fallen from my eyes
You can't know if I'll survive
The jungle
That i live inside
You'll never hear me make a sound
Or even try
To stand my ground
Inside this useless life I live
Might as well
Just close the lid
Into my heart
Into my soul
Into the darkness
So no one knows
How to repair
And even spare
The life i used to love
and care.
Dark corner indeed to be so sad from a unrequited love not worth all that anguish in this life...glad that as the years go by you are given a different picture thru your eyes ...nice to read the feelings so clear...regards
You expressed your pain well here in this sad but well written poem. We may not see your pain, but you made us feel it with you here. Nicely done. PS-'peak'-should be 'peek' ok. Spiritsong
