Dark Angel Poem by gurdeep kaur

Dark Angel

Dark angel…

They say we’re all his angels
Always cared for never forlorn
He plans, he carves our destiny
Our lives before we’re born
Then fillin’ em with His love
Each night n every morn

Perhaps he bestowed his blessings
His favors on me too
But I know I never was
A part of those chosen few

Why my world was void of
Those lil’ joys that bliss
Why His love came sealed up
with a cold baleful kiss
every joy like a wil-o-wisp
comes n gets vanished so soon
why sorrows are always hidden
in bright wimple of boon

n I feel like a lil’ child
who is crying for the moon

with a rebuff whos told again
“these don’t belong to you
Know this don’t b insane”

From a distance I always see
That argent world of joys
Of love, of care, of glee
Shining on the sand of dreams
So true so bright it seems

But its nothing but an illusion
In a moment it will be gone
My dreams, my thoughts n me
Will be standing there all alone

It is a mirage of this vast desert
The desert called life
So cryptic, so ambiguous
An enigma..is this life?

Then I hear a voice again
Whenever I close my eyes
Whispering wordless encourages to me
The Creator? ? ..i surmise

As if asking me to cheer up
N forget every fear
'Yes, I will.'. I say smiling
But with a stained cheer

“This beatific vision will guide you
Through all the smiles n tears
You know you're all my angels..
Yes you too my dear”

Yes I was an angel too
Its true I cant deny
But in that crowd of blessed seraphs
A ‘Dark Angel’ was I………
