Darfur Anger Poem by Werner Klokow

Darfur Anger

Shimmering plains of sand under horse hoof
Thundering up clattering until screaming cold
Bespeckled colours made to inflame fear
Death steel shimmers with old wood glint
Driven by force of ill omen for gold
Humanity unvalued for men hatred so bold

See the economical slaughter of mother and child
Baby blood mixed in sand with no conscience
White teeth and white robe with Dinar gold
Pay their conscience for Darfur not with love
No man walks among the hated riders of the wild
No love lost for soft skin of mother or child

Mahogany desks and cool man made air
White-robed politicians who slaughter from far
Flags of injustice outside in the hot hot air
From cool office to cool car with belly full
Politics they sell for continued baby blood
Please god bring us the vital peace flood

Dragon’s conscience unto this we add
The dynasty of careless oil for blood
From the Forbidden City suited in safety
They care not for infants so far away
So the cycle continues for all to observe
Sway not an inch for what they never deserve
