Child Poem by Werner Klokow

Child

Rating: 4.0

Teddy bear laughter soft squealing joy
In the heart of a child we find so much love
No hurt for those we despise they share
Unprovoked love and courtship of the superior kind

Come to a child today and see your future
That was the future you had until you disposed
Threw it away we did for what we have now
Why do we want the wrong why not the love

Knew better did we really know better
Yesterday we always smiled and laughed
Today we count our money and no hope
We wounded ourselves the day we grew up
