Dance In The Rain Poem by Ugo Rockz

Dance In The Rain

Rating: 3.8

Oh how it rains.
And we shudder in the cold breeze.
The rooftops of the earth pour out their blessings.
The little ones are now happy.
As they follow practiced steps.
And dance to the tune of the rainmaker.
Mother's peppery soup must be ready now.
As Chike fetches water from the river.
The masquerades now throw stunts in pure ecstasy.
That even the golden fountains never felt.
Oh how you beat to the sound of drums.
On my wretched weary thatch.
Husbandmen express joy with wide grins.
Big enough to swallow the Zambezi.
The old men run out of wine.
As the spirit of dance leaves.
With opened eyes they see the fierceness of the storm
And watch how the earth embraces the chill that the. wind brings.
We praise Caesar and hail Marley.
As we light up herbs from the tree of life.
We gather round the bonfaya so we close up herbal.
Sweet savors ride up chariots to the gods.
Alas! the spirit returns
And we dance the dance of the mountains
So we drink of the deep fountains
And burn for warmth.

It is a beautiful poem on rain with thrilling expression in amusing beginning. Let me guote some lines.... Oh how it rains. And we shudder in the cold breeze. The rooftops of the earth pour out their blessings. The little ones are now happy. As they follow practiced steps. And dance to the tune of the rainmaker. Enjoyed. Thanks for sharing.
