Cycles Poem by Gad Ashther

Cycles

Another Day Passed
Another Mistake Committed
Another Night to sleep away
Enough time to think about it

Another New Sun Rising
Another dreamless slumber
Another Breakfast to eat
To relieve my hunger

Another Day at school
Another lesson given
All that time wasted
Staring at the crack on the ceiling

Another day has passed
No, nothing new has happened
My whole life spent
hoping for death to arrive
