Crocodile Cries Poem by Chris Leermakers

Crocodile Cries

Are you hurting?
why are you crying?
again? Is this real?
or just me dreaming?
I'd rather be crashed out sleeping
that's all your headcase tripping
foulness slipping
Yeah, those toxins spilling out of your mouth again.

I'd rather be crashed out dreaming
if this is one of
your reptile games
then I could find
another race
in a better place
yes, with a better face
using logic and reason
where there is no more lames

just take a minute to rest
like the rest of us
take a minute to ponder
about the underworld
visit the real world
without increasing
your rage

[Chorus]

Your crocodile cries don't scare me
don't fool me
crocodile tears don't confuse me
Yes
no confusion here
yeah no confusion in me
only for you
keep your crocodile tears
forever
It's all you using your
false consciousness
false knowledge
all alone
you'll never get a throne
just a can of chrome.
you're welcome to go
pack your bags
then shed some skin
I can't do it
for you
as I'm not reptilian
no reptiles even in my bin.

[End Chorus]

I'm sure I only cry
when I need to
but nothing like you
I'm nothing like you
cause all
you are now is
A very deep scar
I'm not sad
don't know
even If I was
even hurting then
it doesn't matter anyway
won't be seeing you
in my next life again

Am I crying? hell no
am I lying? no way,
never afraid
even if It's the end
I'd rather 'die' sleeping
crashed out
lucid dreaming
than listening to all those
crocodile cries again

Do you remember
what I tried to tell you?
if not, just remember
I tried to help you
it's much too late
now it's time
to say goodnight
little crocodile,
your teeth are all gone
yeah no more bites
cause
you've just lost it all
lost your final neverlasting fight.....
