Criticisms Unsolicited Offered Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Criticisms Unsolicited Offered

Criticisms to offer.
Heard from anyone.
Unsolicited to submit.
Without them to stop.
Yet continue on to permit.
One like this should think.
If their criticisms 'then',
Made any difference.
With a moving forward.
And not to prevent progress to make.

"I only mentioned,
Who could have done what...
Better to do."

-And you?
What did you do? -

"Well...I...uh...
Did all I could,
To give them advice.
But even the best of it,
From me to give.
They claim my attitude,
Had been too negative."

-Did anyone ask for your opinion? -

"No!
What difference would that have made?
It was not my intention,
To attempt to make them listen!
Or think my criticisms were self serving."
