Crash Of Hearts Poem by Nassy Fesharaki

Crash Of Hearts

Rating: 5.0

Crash of Hearts

Knew of its hardship
The best was, not going
But could not stop me.

Was one of the first there;
Hugged a man, went away,
Soon, returned with friend.

With me had the candles
As well as the matches;
Gave away, unlighted…

I could not afford it!
I could not afford it!
I could not afford it!

Looked in eyes of pictures
All crashed and were dead.

Went around, verified
The people that cried
In very cold weather;
What a polar winter!

Saw the man standing
Shivering and shaking,
Tearing silently.
Stopped to comfort him
We mourned as siblings,
In sorrow of sharing.

Left him and went around
Watched people hold lion
Flying in the air
On green, red and white.

It was hard to remain
And listen and observe
Politicians braying;
Showing off, pretending
With feelings full of lies.
