Cowgirl Poem by Justin Gildow

Cowgirl

Dressed in a vest, daisy dukes, cowboy boots,
and a cowboy hat
You're a girl for my own heart
You're a cowgirl

You walk up to me
And we say hi to one another
And we start a conversation
Finding things we have in common
With one another

After a while of chatting
You offer me a ride with you on your
horse
And it's an offer I take up

We climb aboard your horse
And I'm glad that your horse can
carry the both of us

We ride along the trail
With me having my hands on your hips
Feeling and holding you close to me
And breathing you in
As we ride

The sun isn't too hot today
And that's one thing we're happy for

Even though we've only known each
other a short time
I know I like you
And I can tell you like me

As time passes
I'd like to get to know you more
Since you're a girl for my own heart
Cowgirl
