Covid-19 Trouble Times Poem by Ray Hansell

I see some peoples faces
On the now empty streets
Loneliness and heart aches
Are now the company they keep

Sadness and sorrow
Are companions they know
They somehow find a way
To not let anxiety show

What the future holds
Could be anybody's guess
Many people believing
That we are in a forever mess

It will take some time
To see where it leads
I know along the way
Some hearts are going to bleed

But we also must remember
The one's who did not survive
But there for the grace of God
The rest of us are still alive

We'll find our way out of this
Just like times in the past
Just remember pain and misery
Will not always last

There will come a day
When normal returns to stay
I know so many people
Are hoping for that day
