Covid-19 Poem by Ray Hansell

Covid-19

Rating: 5.0

Bars closed
Restaurants open
Take out only
That's no joking

Freeways and streets
Deserted of cars
With the passage of time
This will leave it's own scars

No one knows how long
This chaos will last
The world right now is fragile
Like a piece of glass

Countries all around the world
All suffering the same fate
Let's hope this all passes
Before it's much too late

For some their last hours
Have already arrived
Many deaths along the way
But, many more have survived

If you listen to newscasters
It sounds like doomsday
I think we'd be better off
If they all would just go away

So, take all the precautions
The experts suggest
Do all the things
For yourself that is best

I know that in time
All this will soon subside
The world will return to normal
After this wild ride

As horrible as it is something good will come out of it. Nature shows us it is still the boss.

Countries all around the world due to Covid-19. Curfew is imposed in many places. The issue is very sensitive. The poem is a timely for bringing awareness....10
