Count Your Blessings Poem by Paul Sebastian

Count Your Blessings

Count your blessings
Note them down to view everyday
Give thanks, you have many things
Worse problems others face day after day

Why complain, fault-finding and grumpiness?
Why nurse dark thoughts that steal happiness?
Why entertain your soul with negativity?
Why throw yourself into a pit of self-pity?

Count your blessings
Stay focused on positive things
Be grateful for glad tidings
Give thanks for today's blessings

Avoid habitual whiners
They are vexations to the spirit
Gather around positive thinkers
They will teach you, true grit

Life is so short
No time to bear grudges
Alive, no one comes out
Forgive, build bridges

Fill your heart with joy and gladness
Live your life in simplicity
Fill your heart with gratefulness
Choose to live abundantly

Count your blessings
To God, give thanks, daily
Each day is a blessing
Live each day creatively

Give God all the glory!
