Could Be With You! (Happy Birthday To My Granddaughter Heya Hashmi)
I am not with you,
you are not with me,
I can't look at you,
and you cannot see,
still there is water in the rivers,
That flow from up countries to the Arabian Sea.
None else can feel but the stone you thrown,
and the wave of affection you elongated,
has arrived and touched me.

yet there is wind that blows from north to south.
None else can listen to it,
but the song you sang,
and the wave of affection you elongated,
has arrived and touched me.
Feel me there my right hand is on your head,
and lips are on your forehead..
What a lovely tribute, the first and the last lines starting and ending the poem very softly...thats when love speaks, it speaks like that! .
