Correction Room Poem by Akhtar Jawad

Correction Room

Rating: 5.0

The boy was crying,
Let me live a life,
Of a sinner in vice,
I don't want to go,
To correction room,
I know when I shall come out of the room,
I'll be in a jacket with a device in its pocket,
And the jacket will be filled in with,
Explosives to kill innocent women and children,
But he was helpless,
His illiterate parents,
A victim of poverty,
And illiteracy,
Annoyed with the innocent,
Naughtiness of the boy just nine or ten,
Brought him to the room,
Although illiterate,
But he knew his fate,
The rulers and NGOs,
Could not see his tears,
They preferred to see,
Parts of his body,
And black burnt blood!

Very touching indeed and the very truth spelt out in a poignant way......we are living in a morally bankrupt world where we can't hope of sustaining life any more if this way things go.....10
