Cosmic Travelers Poem by Anki Zakher

Cosmic Travelers

Long ago an empire existed that was situated in the middle of the great sea.

Above it two suns were shining. Brothers revolving around one another.

No moon was spinning around and only 7 sisters and brothers it had.

All dancing the tango of the cosmos since the beginning of time.

It was in a system far away yet people lived there just like us.

The great empire it was called and people lived there just like us.

Great birds existed there as big as a dragon and snake fish swimming in the seas.

Red coloured hills risen so high they pierced the clouds.

Countless caves with creatures and people living safe.

Not from each other they were hiding, but from the brother's rage

That which created life, took life.

Once every thousand years the two brothers came closer to one another

Electric storms spread throughout the lands below.

Clouds and ash covered it, not a tree or a rock could be seen.

Volcano's erupted and the sea's raged. Waves ran through the shores.

The people knew about the storm, they knew about the brother's dance.

"run, it has begun! " the elderly of the tribes said

And all went into the caves and underground.

"The black snow had begun; the sky is falling."

People screamed as they ran for cover.

Time after time civilizations came and went.

Empires rose and were destroyed.

The seas filled up only to dry out again

The cycle of time was never ending.

In caves they watched as the two brothers danced

The older brother pulled the younger closer and closer

What a swing they made like the hairs of a virgin.

Electric currents and cosmic winds filled the skies.

An event seen many times over and over

Though this one time it was different.

The pull was stronger, the older brother angrier.

It swung one time, two times and three times around.

The last time it swallowed his brother whole.

A wave of explosions ran through out the cosmos.

Toward itself it pulled everything around it

Only to push it all away millions of miles into the far depths of space.

The cosmic wave pushed the planet further and further away

On collision course they went with a sister in the depths of space.

"we must leave, we must go. Brother has eaten his sibling"

They ran into their Vimana's, machines that the blue people had build

All of the animals they could take went with them.

Thousands of them took off into the sky on pyramid crafts.

High into the sky these advanced people went.

Simple civilization, one with nature yet minds also one with the cosmos.

Through a tunnel in space they ran far far away.

To find out Earth here in the Milky way.

In India they settled and the people they thought.

Atlantis they created and priests of the divine they became.

Gods they were called by the locals because of their mind and body.

Much bigger they were and blue of color.

Gentle and carrying showed the earthlings how to build.

How to care and how to grow.

Thousands of more years they lived alongside us here.

The Satya this time period was called.

But all that comes also must go, all has an end.

The earth has her cycle; mother evolves as well.

The golden years have a descend, wisdom that is gained

Slowly setts to make room for growth.

The blue people saw this long before it took place.

With thousands they left again, only leaving structures behind.

Buildings, monuments, books and networks mirroring the sky.

Timeless events and monuments now only a legend

Yet still living in people's imaginations

Forever to remind us the heights we had reached and

The travels that shapes us into a diamond in the raw.
