Cornflower Girl Poem by Sister Frances

Cornflower Girl

Rating: 5.0

Bright summer blue
Over almond skin
With little white buds
Now where to begin?

That first time spotted
Cut above the knee
It swung as she moved
It enchanted me

Like a blue butterfly
She fluttered on by
Prancing around
She sure wasn't shy

She stuck out like
A Cornflower in a field
That little blue dress
In my memory sealed
