Confused (Brother) Poem by stephh marie

Im so confused
When we were younger we always used to play games and laugh
Now that we got a little older we barely have time to see each other
Im a little angry cuz’ I guess you forgot my birthday
You didn’t call my cell phone or anything
But I really miss you and hope we can see each other soon
I know its hard cuz you have your own life and focused on other things
But I wonder if you ever think about me
Maybe you are too focused on your girlfriend that you forgot all about
Stephanie huh?
Its funny because im the exact opposite
Every single day I think about you
I think about all the fun times we had together
And how everything just faded away
If only you knew how I felt
Do you know how much I went through? I even had to lie to my parents sometimes.
They would ask why I was crying and I would say I poked myself in the eye.
Sometimes I would just cry in the bathroom and clean my face.
Sometimes my mom catches me spacing out. She asks me what im thinking about
And I say absolutely nothing.
Im too shy to even speak to you now
You know why? Cuz we don’t keep in contact with each other
I’ve tried so many times. I’ve text you, tried calling you on your birthday
But you never answered or you never returned the calls.
Im tired of trying
Maybe I should just give up huh?
Cuz that’s what I think you did.
Just spending a day with you would make a huge difference.
It would make me the happiest person in the world
I think that this is the reason why I’ve been so miserable lately
I needed someone to talk to. Isn’t it funny how I cant even talk to you about anything?
We never got a chance to really talk about anything.
Sometimes I ask dad how you’re doing and he always replies with a “he‘s doing fine”
I wonder if he knows how much it hurts me not to have my own brother by my side
I wonder if he knows how much it hurt me when you didn’t come to my graduation
I try to hide my feelings about how I miss you when my parents are around
