Compass, Compassion! Poem by Edward Kofi Louis

Compass, Compassion!

Works of peace,
With the sweet things of love;
Works of joy!
With the secrets of love;
Works of compassion,
With the deep things of love;
But, do not let him or her who eats be despiteful,
For, the rainbow came along to bless the day.

Compass, compassion!
Like the desert bakery with love in the heart;
Along the muse of the narrow path,
With the sweet things of love.
Desert, dessert!
With the secrets of love;
In, Inn!
Holiday Inn.

Works of hope!
With a hut in view;
Like the promise of the prince and the princess,
Fair, air!
With the deep things of love.
Red stripes,
Blue stripes,
Black stripes;
With the apple wine on the table.
