we are not two...
we are one!
the distance between us
is our silence.
the bridge that joins,
again our silence!
the scent of the shadow,
is only me.
i looked in the mirror,
and saw your face.
raised the fork to my mouth,
and fed your hunger.
you raise the cup,
and my lips part.
i breathe,
and your eyes open.
my skin has no color,
yours changes with the seasons.
i plant a tree,
you rake the grass.
i weep for the hungry,
you weep for the homeless.
we keep building boats,
and giving them away.
i am a man, a woman,
you a woman, a man...
we are the earth,
redeeming herself!
