Come We Will Read Love Poem by Jyotishman Debnath

Come We Will Read Love

come, we'll read love
come once, in the
starlit nights
we'll drink the moon together
read love poems

for years we cried alone
hiding from each other
oh! that is past
let it go

for years, I have seen
smiles owing something
to lips
seen flower bloom and
get dry

when the heart is an weeping face
eyes- watery clouds
come, let's forget
whatever we have
seen and heard

for years I've been carrying
a poem of love in my pocket
who will listen?
faces can't be seen in light!

within me there is a season
of love floating
wet with the dew

come once in a starlit night
we'll drink moon together

when roses will bloom no more
you will know
with which season's ink
the poem of love is written

just come once
