Come Visit Me Poem by Leonard Dabydeen

Come Visit Me

Rating: 5.0

Come visit me
where everyone is dressed up
for a ceremony
in their best-ever attire
and carrying on
as if the moonlight
will last forever
our music is enthralling
in the vicissitudes of heaven
and its quiet tambourine
rattles the Gates of Hell
come visit me
with a bouquet of flowers
or a wreath scented
with your tears
but most of all
come visit me
and leave a smile on my feet
as I always will be
wherever you are
in every step you take.
