Come My Angel Poem by Michael Peterson

Come My Angel

I enter your room.
Above you, was a shadow hanging over you
I could see his figure getting closer to you.
His hands reaching for your slowly.
I hear a whisper and a scent of warmth.
'Come my child, Reach for my hands.'
I begin to pray for you.
He grabs your hands and squeeze gently.
'Don't be afraid, you are safe with me.'
I see your soul reaching out to him.
'Come my child, you earned your wings.'
The pain is fading, to see your eyes glow.
One more time, your smile so big.
He has come for you with love and faith.
'Fear no more, I will take care of you.'
I cried watching you go.
The sadness of losing you.
He turns to me and says to me.
'They are in great hands; you raised a beautiful Angel.
It's my turn to take care of them.'
I pray for you to heal.
But he has heavenly plans for you.
I cry many tears, watching your soul leave.
He will comfort me over the pain.
I will never heal, but he will guide me.
Our journey on earth has ended.
Our heavenly journey has just begun.
I kiss you, goodbye.
As the shadow fades
I hug you and cry.
You have gone to heaven.
I love you and miss you.
May God bring you peace.
