Colossians 1: 16-29 Poem by Don Nguyen

Colossians 1: 16-29

My mystery is the mystery of Christ
The mystery in dying I now live in Him
And for Him; for He had been crucified for me
All things in creation have been created by Him and for Him
Christ thus is the Head and we his Body, the church
I was told I was the only one for this work
And up to now it seems to indicate this fact was true
What I write I have learned from Him
Christ indirectly dictates, the Holy Spirit inspires and explains
If you don't believe me, examine what I have written
Is there power in any serious poems I have composed
Minus all the silly childish which is my own rubbish?
Doubt as you want, but if you listen attentively
My poems or His songs can change your life's perspective
Can make you a better person, full of love
Can make your tommorrow's brighter and sin-less
Caress somebody today with kindest thoughts
Ask the Spirit of Love to come down to possess you
That is what I have been longing and praying
The consequence is that now I reside in joy and peace
Regardless of what life deals me
I will go on to preach Christ Crucified
That Christ saves through His Gospel of life and love
Now whoever listens and believes will be made blameless and spotless
To be worthy at the end as Christ's worthy bride
Who will be led at the end of this earthly life into her bridal chamber
Forever as her soul will shine like a brightest star in the Lord's eyes
And now for the salvation of souls by making Gospel and His Love known in songs
I am laboring and will go on to labor forever
While rejoicing in all sufferings which the world and my enemies engrave onto my heart
All for the Glory of God.
