Color Palate Poem by Kimara Young

Color Palate

You cover me in your darkest blues then wipe me down with pink
You watch my green fill up the tub as your purple fills the sink
Your orange slides across my white and drips from me in red
Your black becomes my yellow as it growls, hunger unfed
Violent with your violet, yet held at bay with gold
Crystal clear we see ourselves
Our colors mixed up bold
