Hopeless Poem by Kimara Young

Hopeless

How can you hold your smile
As tears fall from your eyes?
Holding to your truth
Like a lifeline
While the world pulls you down with lies.
Turning your back to the sadness
You believe the pain is no more.
Lost in the realms of your madness
Ignoring the tears that still pour.
Embedded in the walls
Shattered fragments of a heart.
Unsure of the cause
That tore your life apart.
Forever you commit yourself
To remaining in this space.
I leave you to your missory
With your smile cemented in place.
