Clown On The Bus Poem by Karl Newton

Clown On The Bus

Clown on the bus
Bares the face of a clown I once knew
It was a 7th birthday party
And he scared me
Till my eyes were tear stained blue
Now he looks frail
20 years have not been kind
Now is the time for me to avenge
The clown shoes firmly on the other foot now
To me the clown will bow
And beg for mercy, a day which will scar him
For years to come
Revenge will be sweet and will be mine
Now is the time, he is mine

Tell me Mr Clown
Do you remember me?
Or am I one in a long line
Of young lives
You made a misery?
Tell me Mr Clown
What is your fear?
What one thing alone can I do?
To draw your makeup smudging tear?
I want to exploit your fears
Like you did mine
You're the weak one now
This is my time
