Clocks Poem by Veronica Scavillo

Clocks

Rating: 5.0

A clock will count down the year's
It can rewind and replay your deepest fears
Up to the second where your faith has been
Lost
And to the hour's you spent hoping
your family wasn't
Gone
And to the year's you spent mourning that loss
You look upon the past
to help you move on

A clock tic's foward
as time passes you by
you don't realize it
until you take the time to look back

The death of your family was so sudden
and the burden on your shoulders has been lifted
The pain that once consumed you soul
is gone

Because the clock tic's foward
it's a sign from god
Everything's alright now
You can move on
