Cinderella's Shattered Shoe Poem by Seairra Kyger

Cinderella's Shattered Shoe

Why am I afraid
Of waking up alive
I don’t want to
Wake up and I
Don’t want to face
Another day
You say

Don’t be selfish

I’m not

People love you

Name three

Quit running away
Can’t you see
How much were
In love with your smile
If only we could
See it a little
More often

I guess we can confer in the end that
Were all just bodies on the treshold

POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
This is a story between two friends. One is very depressed and the other is trying to tell them about how much they are worth and trying to make them see they are loved.
