Chuck Feeney Poem by Francis Duggan

Chuck Feeney

Chuck Feeney is from Elizabeth in New Jersey Perhaps the greatest person on this earth today
To charities and to other worthy causes he has given four billion dollars away
A renowned philanthropist and a quiet achiever for the betterment of mankind a huge part he play
And yet he never does make the news headlines this quiet man with so few words to say.

Chuck Feeney was a battler who made it good and from small beginnings he became a great success
And he is one who does not hoard his billions he has brought to others such great happiness
If every billionaire were even as half as generous the World might well be free of poverty
There are no words one could use to describe him this philanthropist with humility.

He turned seventy two on his last birthday and such good and worthy causes he embrace
And the World is better for him living in it he is a credit to his clan and race
And may he live on to be over one hundred this philanthropist from the U.S of A
To charities and to other worthy causes he gives millions of dollars every day.

To me he is the World's greatest person one well might say he stands for anti greed
And every day he gives to worthy causes and despite his wealth a simple life he lead
Chuck Feeney the unassuming humanitarian restores my lost faith in humanity
And if every billionaire were half as generous the World might well be free of poverty.
