Chronicity Poem by Janine Alyssa Navarro

Chronicity

Ferocious claws
Are ripping at my insides
I wince, writhe in pain
But nobody can see
Where the surge of agony
Is coming from
I’m losing my mind
Unable to take control
Vision blurs
Daggers poke at my throat
Wrists falter instantly
My knees go weak
I break apart
From this confession,
I’ve been infected
The bite is rabid
Doom has welcomed me
Pass me the pacemaker
My last breath dances;
You’re my every chronicity
