Christmas Tree Poem by Dr John Celes

Christmas Tree

A Christmas tree of fir or pine,
When decorated looks so fine;
With baubles, stars, festoons that shine,
And gifts and pastries, food and wine.

The Star of Bethlehem stands high,
As angel choir comes from sky,
And colored lights on branches lie,
A beauty great as night draws nigh.

An Advent wreath is hung on wall;
A hearth is burning, warming all;
Church-bells that toll and send the call
That born is Jesus, baby doll!
