Christmas In A Strange Land Poem by William McGehee

Christmas In A Strange Land

Peace on Earth? They have that here:
The wreaths, the lights, the gifts, the cheer.
Good will towards man I see as well
It looks the same, as I can tell

What's more, I feel the same in part,
The same awaking of the heart,
That stirs with hope beyond the sense
For love to seed all recompense.

But all the same, I still am finding
Christmas here just keeps reminding,
Keeps me wishing seasons through,
Keeps me missing time with you.
