Christmas Ain'T What It Used To Be Poem by GORDON BUTCHERS

Christmas Ain'T What It Used To Be

I remember when I was just a lad,
When Christmas day came around
I used to be so glad.

Opening all my presents
Was all so much fun,
Now I would be lucky
If I recieve more than one.

Nothing but just a pair of socks
Would be no surprise,
Even though I'm smiling
The dissapointments in my eyes.

Coz now I'm much older
And Christmas just ain't the same,
I look at the kids opening their presents with envy
Just wishing I was a lad again.
