Chocolate Chip & Pecan Sunday Poem by Marilyn Lott

Chocolate Chip & Pecan Sunday

I wish you could been here today
To have a delicious piece
Of chocolate chip & pecan Sunday
For it is such a delicious treat.

Chopped pecans were sautéed in butter
‘Till the fragrance is beyond compare
Mixing up cake-like ingredients
Oh, you should have been right here.

Chocolate chips were stirred in too
And the pecans once they had cooled
Why it was just like an enormous cookie
I would bet you could never be fooled.

But then, oh then you cut a warm piece
I hope you'll have a piece one day
Topped with ice cream and chocolate sauce
It is called a Chocolate Chip & Pecan Sunday!
