Childhood Wishes Poem by Jorge Baide

Childhood Wishes

When I see myself in the Mirror
All I can see is a child
Dreaming of becoming a warrior
But thinking like an adult

Now that I am an adult
I wish I was little
But it’s not my fault
I got stuck in the middle.

All my wishes went to the sink
I wish I could have study
But I couldn’t think
Therefore I had no power to dream.

I hope I have learn
If not I have to despair
Therefore is better
to descend than to pretend.

Many of my dreams have died
But as long as I have myself
I can bring them back to life
Like a miraculous revive.
